Why a watch winder won’t charge a Seiko Kinetic watch.

The reason is that a winder is far too slow.

An automatic watch has a spring; it can be wound up very, very slowly.

A Kinetic electronic watch has a generator to charge a storage cell, so has to be moved fast to generate a high enough voltage to charge the cell.

The charging rotor in your watch will run at 10,000 revolutions per minute on our charger, which is the correct speed and won’t over charge the storage cell.
